Terms of service.

The plain-English terms for a Keyway Websites subscription: what you get, what we need from you, billing, cancellation, and who owns what.

Last updated: September 2026

Who we are and what these terms cover

keywaywebsites.com is operated by Keyway Marketing Incorporated, doing business as Keyway Websites ("we", "us", "our"). These terms apply when you use this website and when you subscribe to a Keyway Websites plan. By subscribing you agree to them, and you confirm that you are at least 18 and authorized to act for the business you sign up. If you do not agree, please do not subscribe.

The plans

We offer three monthly subscriptions, priced in US dollars: Basic Website at $29.99 a month, Premium Website at $49.99 a month, and Premium Website + Local SEO at $99.99 a month. Each includes what is listed for that plan on our home page: a custom website built for your business (one page on Basic Website, multiple pages on the two Premium plans), hosting, maintenance and ongoing basic updates, and on Premium Website + Local SEO, ongoing Local SEO work focused on your Google Business Profile. There is no setup fee.

"Ongoing basic updates" means small changes to your existing pages, such as new hours, a new photo, a changed price, or a paragraph of text. New pages, new features, an online store, or a redesign are outside the plan; we are happy to quote them separately.

We may change our prices. If a change affects your subscription, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect.

Billing

Your subscription starts the day you sign up. Your card is charged for the first month at checkout, then on the same day each month until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe; your card details go to Stripe, not to us.

Billing continues while we build your website, while your sample is waiting for your approval, and while any step that depends on you is still outstanding (see "Your responsibilities" below). If a payment fails and is not resolved, we may pause work or take your website offline until it is.

How the work happens

  • You fill in your brief. Right after checkout we ask a few questions about your business, and you can upload anything you want us to use.
  • We sort out your domain. We register the website address you asked for, or the closest available alternative if it is taken, or we use a domain you already own.
  • We build a sample. We design and build your website from your brief and email you a link to review.
  • You approve it, or ask for changes. Reply by email with any changes. When you are happy, tell us.
  • We put it live. Your website goes live on your domain, and we keep it hosted and updated for as long as you subscribe.

Everything runs by email from your brief; you never need to book a call. If we need something from you, we will email you.

Your responsibilities

A few things only you can do. Your subscription runs whether or not they are done, and we cannot be responsible for anything that depends on them.

  • Verify your contact-form email. Your website's contact form delivers messages through Formspree to the email address you give us. Formspree sends that address a verification email, and until you click the link in it, messages sent through your website's form are not delivered. It is your responsibility to complete that verification and to check that inbox. We are not responsible for inquiries you miss because the address was not verified or was not checked.
  • Share your Google Business Profile. Your business's Google Business Profile has to be created and verified by you, in your own Google account, and you need to add sales@keywaywebsites.com as a Manager on it. We cannot set up, verify, or work on a profile we do not have access to, and we are not responsible for search results that depend on a profile you have not created, verified, or shared with us.
  • Give us accurate information, and content you have the right to use. You confirm that the text, photos, logos, and other material you provide are yours or that you have permission to use them, and that the business information you give us is accurate. You are responsible for making sure your website's claims, prices, and offers comply with the laws that apply to your business.
  • Respond to us. Approve your sample or ask for changes, and answer the questions we email you. Delays on your side delay your launch; they do not pause billing.
  • Keep a working payment method on file.

Domains

If we register a domain for your website, Keyway Marketing Incorporated is the registrant and owner of that domain. It remains ours, including after your subscription ends. At our discretion we may agree to transfer a domain to you; any such transfer may carry a fee.

If you ask us to use a domain you already own, it stays yours. You will give us the access we need to point it at your website, and you are responsible for keeping its registration current.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time. To cancel, email sales@keywaywebsites.com from the email address on your account and tell us you want to cancel. That is the only way to cancel: we cannot act on cancellations sent any other way, and closing a card or disputing a charge is not a cancellation.

Your cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again after that. When your subscription ends, your website and its contact form are taken offline. If we registered your domain, it stays with us.

No refunds

All payments are final. We do not offer refunds or credits for any reason, including if you decide not to go ahead after seeing your sample, if you cancel partway through a billing period, or if a step that depends on you has not been completed.

What you own and what we own

The text, photos, logos, and other material you give us remain yours. The website itself, including its design, code, layout, and any images or copy we create for it, is provided to you as part of your subscription and stays our property. It is not transferred to you, and it comes down when the subscription ends.

We may show your website in our portfolio and marketing. Email us if you would rather we did not, and we will honor that.

What we do not guarantee

Search rankings, traffic, and leads depend on many things outside our control, including competition, Google's systems, your reviews, and your own offering. We work to get you results, but we do not guarantee any particular ranking, amount of traffic, number of leads, or revenue. Local SEO on the Premium Website + Local SEO plan is ongoing work, not a promise of a position on Google.

Our website and services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, and we do not warrant that your website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Your website depends on third-party services, including Stripe, Formspree, Google, and our hosting provider, which have their own terms and availability that we do not control.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Keyway Marketing Incorporated and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your website or these terms. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months before the event that caused it.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or costs that arise out of the content or material you provide, your products or services, or your breach of these terms or applicable law.

Acceptable use

Your website may only be used for lawful purposes. We may decline to publish, or may take down, content that is unlawful, misleading, or that we reasonably believe would break the rules of a platform your website depends on, and we may end a subscription for a breach of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time as our services or the law change. The current version, with its date, is always posted on this page, and we will email you about any change that materially affects your subscription. Continuing your subscription after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Keyway Marketing Incorporated is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and the courts of that jurisdiction will handle any dispute between us.
